  • 2 onions;
  • 50 g tomato paste;
  • 100 ml water;
  • salt and seasonings.

Operating procedure:

  1. Sort and wash the rice grains, boil until tender, drain the liquid and set aside to cool.

  4. Form portions and fry the meatballs in a frying pan until a crust forms.

  • salt, pepper, sugar to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg(optional)
  • bay leaf
  • Measure out 3 tbsp. rice, take heaping spoonfuls. Wash the rice, then cook for 7-10 minutes in salted water until half cooked. We discard in a colander.
  • Finely chopped onion is stewed in a small amount of vegetable oil. To make the meatballs juicy, simmer the onions over low heat rather than fry them. When the onion becomes soft and transparent, turn off the heat.
  • For meatballs, you can use any minced meat, but the meatballs will turn out much tastier if you use mixed minced meat (pork-beef, beef-poultry, etc.).
  • Add stewed onion, 1 level teaspoon of salt, and ground black pepper to the minced meat. Mix the minced meat thoroughly. This is very important point, since when stirred, the meat releases juice, thereby, as it were, binding together all the components of the minced meat.
  • Add boiled rice and one egg. Mix everything thoroughly again.
  • With wet hands, form round meatballs. Roll the meatballs themselves in flour or breadcrumbs.
  • When all the meatballs are molded, prepare a gravy sauce for them.

  • So, grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil. We place our meatballs in one layer quite close to each other. Fill evenly with the previously prepared filling. The sauce should reach at least 1/3 of the height of the meatballs. That is why, if there are not very many meatballs, and the baking sheet is large, it is better to use a small fireproof form, where you can fold the meatballs more compactly.
  • Place the baking sheet with the meatballs and gravy in a well-heated oven. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees.
  • About 10 minutes before the end of cooking, add finely chopped garlic to the gravy. Incredibly tasty, juicy and aromatic
